Center of Science and Industry (COSI) --
A hands-on science museum with interactive exhibits throughout discovery-based and themed exhibition
areas. COSI museums are located in Toledo and Columbus. The museums also participate in innovative
outreach education programs that are tailored to support national and statewide science curriculum
and standards.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for
Mathematics and Science Education (ENC) -- The mission of ENC is to identify effective
curriculum resources, create high-quality professional development materials, and disseminate
useful information and products to improve K-12 mathematics and science teaching and learning.
Ohio Academy of Science -- The Academy
is the leading organization in Ohio to foster curiosity, discovery, and innovation and to unite
all who value education, science, engineering, technology, or their applications for the benefit
of society. The Academy conducts an annual meeting and science days, and publishes an international,
multidisciplinary, scientific journal.
Ohio BioHistory -- Learn about
significant milestones in the historical development of Ohio's biotechnology &
medical technology industry.
Ohio Mathematics and Science Coalition (OMSC)
-- OMSC is an advocacy group comprised of individuals from the education, business, and public sectors,
working toward the common goal of revitalizing and improving mathematics, science, and technology
education from preschool to beyond graduate school. OMSC's mission is to facilitate collaboration
for continuous, systemic, and sustainable improvement in mathematics, science, and technology
(MST) education for Ohio's nearly two million students.
Ohio Parent Teachers Association (PTA)
-- The Ohio PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in
the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make
decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and
protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of
this nation.
Ohio Resource Center for Mathematics, Science, and Reading (ORC)
-- ORC provides peer-reviewed, best practice web sites for educators and provides ideas for teaching
to the high expectations found in the Ohio Academic Content Standards.
Ohio Science Olympiad
-- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the
quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition
for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are
accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of
intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments.
Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO)
-- SECO provides support and information for Ohio's science teachers. SECO members receive a
quarterly newsletter, discount registration at the annual SECO Conference, an opportunity to
recognize and be recognized in the state of Ohio through the annual SECO awards, and an
opportunity to apply for a SECO grant.
The Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center (SciMaTEC)
-- SciMaTEC, a partner of the Northwest Ohio Center of Excellence, serves and supports education in science,mathematics,
engineering, and technology for people of all ages. SciMaTEC's purpose is to develop the expertise
of educators, to increase public understanding of those subjects, and to stimulate interest of
young people in these rewarding fields of study.
